The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into medicine is rapidly transforming healthcare, leveraging advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) for enhanced clinical decision-making and research. Topol (2019) emphasizes the fusion of human expertise with AI capabilities to drive high-performance medicine. Studies show that AI agents autonomously conduct biomedical research, exemplified by the LLM-based Coscientist, which independently executes scientific experiments (Boiko et al., 2023). The deployment of AI agents, including those utilized for cancer diagnostics and patient management, showcases their potential to optimize healthcare workflows and support physicians (Zou & Topol, 2025; Ferber et al., 2025). Challenges include maintaining AI explainability, ensuring data integrity, and addressing biases (Han et al., 2024). As AI continues to evolve, its role in medicine is anticipated to expand, improving patient outcomes and revolutionizing traditional healthcare models (Maddox et al., 2025; Kather et al., 2024).
