TTD Innovates: Exploring AI Solutions to Minimize Darshan Wait Times

In Tirupati, the TTD Trust Board, chaired by BR Naidu, will meet to discuss integrating artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the pilgrim experience. A key proposal involves a virtual queue management system developed by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), aiming to reduce darshan waiting times to just two hours. The board will also consider an AI-powered chatbot project, projected to cost over Rs 1 crore, to assist pilgrims with bookings and information. Among other agenda items are plans to modernize the Kalyanakatta complex and decongest the Central Reception Office (CRO). Enhancements to the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu footpaths, accommodation upgrades, and the implementation of a comprehensive solid waste management system are priority items. Additionally, the introduction of premium and budget lounges for pilgrim comfort, a new donor cottage policy, and a dedicated cybersecurity cell for improved safety will be discussed. These initiatives aim to significantly improve temple infrastructure and the overall pilgrim experience.
