This beta tool helps users quickly build grocery orders by generating items based on typed or uploaded lists. To utilize Cart Assistant, customers can search for a grocery store within the Uber Eats app and click the Cart Assistant icon. They can input a shopping list or upload an image, like a handwritten note or a screenshot of ingredients. The system suggests items, factoring in availability and displaying prices and promotions at the store level. Users can modify their carts before checkout, substituting or adding products as necessary. Moreover, Cart Assistant leverages the customer’s order history to prioritize frequently purchased items. This innovation marks a significant step for Uber in integrating AI into its platform. The company has formed partnerships with major grocers, such as Kroger, further boosting its grocery delivery capabilities.
