Ramaka’s innovative entry utilized large language models (LLMs) to enhance data validation for pet insurance, a booming segment expected to reach over $21 billion globally in 2024. Runners-up Rutendo Mahanzu and Pramod Misra received $2,000 each for their projects, which also harnessed AI tools for insurance data optimization. This year’s competition focused on creating structured data sets essential for underwriting pet insurance—highlighting the growing role of technology in InsurTech. ACORD aims to leverage these student insights for future development of their Data Standards, vital across the global insurance landscape.
