Unicity Labs Secures $3 Million in Seed Funding to Expand Peer-to-Peer Infrastructure for Autonomous AI Agents

Unicity Labs has secured $3 million in seed funding to enhance its peer-to-peer cryptographic protocol for autonomous AI agents within agentic marketplaces. The funding, led by Blockchange Ventures with support from Tawasal and Outlier Ventures, will drive the development of the Unicity Protocol, which aims to establish trustless, machine-speed transactions between AI agents. Based in Switzerland, Unicity Labs also founded the Unicity Foundation for protocol governance and funding. Unlike traditional blockchains, this protocol allows AI agents to verify counterparts and execute transactions without intermediaries, thereby eliminating bottlenecks in agent-to-agent transactions. The market for agentic AI is estimated to exceed $100 billion by 2032, emphasizing the relevance of this funding. Statements from key executives highlight Unicity’s mission to create infrastructure for an autonomous agentic internet, paving the way for direct commerce between merchants and AI agents, significantly transforming the economics of digital transactions.
