Google has launched its Google Vids product, enabling all Gmail users to create polished, AI-powered videos. As announced in a Nov. 17 blog post, advanced features of Gemini that were once exclusive to paid users are now accessible to everyone. These include AI-generated voiceovers, silence trimming, and visual enhancements with AI image editing. To facilitate user onboarding, Google has released instructional videos on YouTube showcasing various applications, from training materials to personalized content like vacation highlights. Users can easily access Google Vids via the Google Apps launcher in Gmail or by visiting vids.google.com. Entering vids.new in a browser takes creators to a Getting Started screen, where they can utilize Gemini’s AI to generate draft videos. The platform features pre-designed templates, a scene-focused timeline editor, and customization options, empowering users to produce professional content effortlessly. However, certain advanced tools remain exclusive to paid subscribers.
