Google has revamped Gemini’s usage limits by separating the allowances for its Thinking and Pro models, enhancing the experience for subscribers. Initially, both models shared a single daily quota, which caused confusion during complex tasks. Now, under the Google AI Pro plan, the Thinking model allows 300 prompts daily, while the Pro model is capped at 100. For those on the Google AI Ultra plan, limits are significantly higher at 1,500 Thinking and 500 Pro prompts. Free tier users can access both models, though it’s labeled as “Basic access – daily limits may change frequently.” This change alleviates concerns about using prompts for complex reasoning that previously impacted coding tasks. As Gemini 3 gains popularity, Google aims to balance demand with bandwidth, ensuring users experience more predictable access and reduced interruptions.
