Salesforce’s Chief Operating and Financial Officer, Robin Washington, is utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance her preparation for earnings calls in her new role. During a virtual roundtable on AI, Washington revealed that AI tools help her analyze data and summarize insights, significantly reducing prep time from days to hours. Appointed in February, Washington aims to break down organizational silos, making the COFO role a more effective business partner.
At the event, fellow CFO Jamie Miller discussed using AI for internal content and executive materials. Research indicates a dramatic shift in CFO attitudes toward AI, with only 4% now considering conservative strategies, down from 70% in 2020. This shows a growing recognition of AI as essential for efficiency and long-term growth. CFOs expect AI agents to boost revenue by nearly 20%, with an average of 25% of AI budgets allocated to these technologies. Salesforce plans to deploy one billion AI agents by 2025.
