While these figures seem small individually, their significance multiplies with the vast number of queries. Altman also discussed anticipated advancements, predicting that automation in data centers will reduce operational costs for generative AI, aligning expenses more closely with electricity costs, contrary to earlier pessimistic forecasts. He envisions that by 2030, AI users will experience significant capabilities beyond those of 2020, particularly in software and artwork creation. Additionally, he foresees the emergence of AI-enhanced humanoid robots capable of generating ideas and performing real-world tasks, indicating OpenAI’s active involvement in this evolving sector.
