We are excited to introduce our new tool, Anthropic Interviewer, aimed at understanding public perspectives on AI. In this research post, we detail its development, initial testing on a sample of 1,250 professionals, and preliminary findings. Participants from various fields—general workforce, creatives, and scientists—shared insights on how AI impacts their work, with 86% reporting increased productivity. While optimism prevailed, concerns about job displacement and creative identity surfaced, particularly among creatives. Anthropic Interviewer harnesses AI to conduct interviews efficiently while preserving privacy, allowing us to gather qualitative data at scale. The tool facilitates future collaborations with creatives, scientists, and educators to understand AI’s evolving role. Starting today, Claude.ai users are invited to contribute their views via an interview pop-up. This initiative seeks to improve AI systems by centering human voices in tech development.
