Visual Studio Code Update Automatically Launches MCP Servers

VS Code 1.103 enhances productivity with new features, notably support for Git worktrees. This functionality allows users to check out multiple branches simultaneously, facilitating easier testing and parallel work without the need to constantly switch contexts. When a Git repository folder or workspace is opened, VS Code automatically detects worktrees, displaying them in the source control repositories view. Users can efficiently manage worktrees—create, delete, or open them—using commands from the Command Palette or the Source Control view.

Additionally, the update introduces checkpoints for Copilot chats, enabling users to restore different conversation states. This feature is particularly beneficial when multiple files are modified, allowing easy reversion to previous chat points. The VS Code 1.103 release continues to build on the advancements of version 1.102, emphasizing user experience and functionality. Other notable improvements in version 1.103 contribute to a robust coding environment.
