Walmart has launched five new AI-driven digital tools in its app, designed to enhance in-store shopping experiences and boost customer satisfaction. These personalized tools activate when shoppers enter a Walmart, encouraging them to spend an average of 25% more during their shopping trips. Key features include a savings tool that reveals local deals, price comparisons, and the ability to filter items by category, making it easier for customers to find Black Friday bargains and clearance items.
Additionally, shoppers can locate products within the store, and AI-generated audio summaries provide insights on over 1,000 beauty items. Tracy Poulliot, Walmart U.S. senior vice president, emphasized the aim of making holiday shopping seamless. Amid rising consumer interest in in-store shopping, a recent survey revealed 75% of consumers feel more connected with friends and family during in-store experiences, highlighting the significance of traditional retail during the holiday season.
