Filed in a California federal court, the lawsuit accuses Midjourney of enabling users to create unauthorized images and videos of WBD properties through its commercial AI subscription service. WBD claims that Midjourney uses its intellectual property (IP) without permission, stating, “Midjourney thinks it is above the law.” This lawsuit follows similar complaints from Disney and Universal, marking a significant shift as Hollywood studios start addressing AI infringements.
