Microsoft’s Copilot in Windows 11 is introducing a new Home tab, moving away from the standard chat-focused interface. This refreshed UI echoes the Start menu, providing easy access to Copilot’s AI features. Upon updating, users will find four interactive cards on the Home tab, showcasing recently accessed files from File Explorer’s Quick Access. These cards allow you to open files directly in their native applications or attach them for analysis. A standout feature is the “Get guided help with your apps” card, enabling users to receive real-time assistance while using applications like Power BI. Copilot is also set to unveil an advanced feature, the ChatGPT-powered Agent, for automating tasks via a Linux shell in Azure. This Home tab promises a more integrated user experience by merging AI assistance with seamless navigation across Windows, representing a significant evolution in how users can interact with their files and applications. The update will roll out gradually.
