Workday Unveils Enterprise AI Developer Tools Promising 50% Increase in Productivity

At Workday DevCon 2025, Workday announced a new AI developer toolset, including Agent Gateway, designed to enhance collaboration and customization of AI applications within the Workday platform. This toolset allows developers to connect third-party agents, enroll in the Agent Partner Network, and utilize new AI widgets to create personalized user experiences in HR and finance. Expanded API capabilities will enable natural language integration for improved document handling. Additionally, Workday is enhancing its Developer Copilot to boost coding productivity by over 50%, allowing developers to generate code snippets, find appropriate APIs, and document orchestrations efficiently. The newly introduced Workday Developer CLI will streamline development tasks and DevOps integration. Workday Illuminate, leveraging massive HR and financial datasets, will further facilitate business operations by contextualizing data for effective management of AI agents. The Agent Gateway will be available for early adopters by the end of 2025, along with other features aimed at transforming enterprise AI innovation.
