Elon Musk and his xAI team are promoting the new Grok “Imagine” feature, now available for free in the U.S. for a limited time. This text-to-video functionality allows users to create videos easily, with the option to generate animated images in the X app. Musk has shared various Grok-generated videos to encourage usage. Although currently free, Grok Imagine will eventually be a paid feature, and the best creations may receive their own dedicated feed, reminiscent of Vine. This competitive landscape includes similar offerings from Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Additionally, xAI has improved Grok 4’s PDF processing for better content recognition and introduced the male-centric app, Valentine. These updates are aimed at enticing users to subscribe, providing a potential revenue stream for ongoing AI development while navigating government contracts and subscription models.
