Targeting Africa’s burgeoning developer market, Yamify offers one-click access to open-source AI solutions hosted on local GPU clusters, billed in local currencies, unlike traditional cloud services aimed at enterprise clients in the West. Founded by Luc Okalobé, a seasoned cloud engineer, Yamify features an app-store model for AI solutions, including chatbots and automation tools. Competing against global giants like AWS and Google Cloud, Yamify prioritizes grassroots engagement through hackathons and universities to support developers.
