YouTube has unveiled new AI tools for its Shorts feature at the Made on YouTube event in New York on September 16. Key updates include AI editing, Speech-to-Song, and Veo 3 Fast, allowing creators to transform raw footage into engaging Shorts with ease. AI voiceovers will be available in English and Hindi, and all AI-enhanced Shorts will feature a distinct watermark, beginning rollout in India and select markets soon. The “Edit with AI” functionality streamlines content creation, while podcasters can now convert audio into video and create Shorts from longer videos. Music enthusiasts can expect new features such as pre-saving albums and countdowns. YouTube Studio upgrades include an AI assistant, title A/B testing, auto dubbing, and likeness detection. These enhancements aim to boost content quality and foster audience growth. Since 2021, YouTube has invested over $100 billion in creators, furthering its role as a major income source for content creators globally.
