Zero Trust Reduces Incidents, Yet Companies Hesitant to Embrace AI Security

Research by DXC Technology and Microsoft reveals that organisations embracing Zero Trust frameworks experience an 83% reduction in security incidents, enhancing their resilience against AI-driven threats. The report, which analyzed cybersecurity strategies across 100 experts globally, highlighted that while Zero Trust is crucial for safeguarding operations, only 30% of firms have adopted AI authentication tools, indicating a gap in leveraging advanced defenses. Legacy systems remain a significant barrier, with 66% of organisations citing outdated technology as a challenge. As cyber threats evolve, 72% of respondents stressed the need for ongoing updates to their Zero Trust policies. Microsoft’s integration of platforms and operations, particularly with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365, supports a streamlined Zero Trust transition, promoting greater visibility and control. Ultimately, Zero Trust is an ongoing process; companies are encouraged to prioritize identity management and collaborate with trusted partners to ensure comprehensive deployment and strategic resilience against evolving cyber risks.
