The advertising test follows the introduction of the lower-cost ChatGPT Go tier aimed at funding infrastructure and expanding access. Users can control ad personalization, dismiss specific ads, and view their ad history, with options to opt out of data retention. Ads are restricted from sensitive topics and underage accounts.
