Adobe has launched a mobile version of Premiere for iPhone, marking its first foray into mobile video editing, with an Android version in development. The free app allows users to edit multiple video tracks, music, text, and effects, with capabilities to edit 4K HDR videos and automatically generate subtitles. Advanced audio features help suppress background noise and enhance dialogue from smartphone videos. Powered by Firefly AI, Premiere mobile offers unique tools for generating sound effects, images, and short videos; these features operate on a credit system, while Adobe’s stock library remains free. Users can transfer projects from iPhone to the desktop version via Adobe Cloud, although syncing projects back from desktop to mobile isn’t available yet. The release intensifies competition in the mobile editing realm, joining offerings like CapCut, Meta Edits, and Captions, while Adobe expands its mobile app lineup, which includes Photoshop and Firefly.
