Announced before the Sundance Film Festival, these updates respond to the increasing use of AI in filmmaking. Key additions include AI-assisted masking tools in Premiere Pro and enriched 3D and typography capabilities in After Effects. Integration with Adobe’s Firefly Boards promotes collaborative brainstorming using AI models from prominent providers like Google and OpenAI. Furthering its commitment to filmmakers, Adobe plans to invest nearly $10 million in development by 2026. Deepa Subramaniam, Adobe’s VP of Product Marketing, emphasized the company’s focus on empowering the next generation of storytellers. New features include advanced object selection and redesigned shape masks for effect applications. The Firefly video editor, in public beta, offers a browser-based solution for generating videos.
