LLMs can obscure relevant information and shift the nature of work towards robotic patterns, risking the essence of human agency in meaningful tasks.
To mitigate these risks, we should teach proper tool usage, favor open-source models, and establish built-in limitations. Encouraging human enrichment over mere productivity can help maintain balance. Ultimately, we must resist the dominance of technology in our lives, valuing human connection and creative pursuits to ensure that tools serve us, not enslave us.
