Over the past year, 26 channels created approximately 900 videos that falsely link various celebrities to Diddy, often featuring sensationalized claims and shocking AI-generated thumbnails. These channels typically repurpose existing content to capitalize on trending topics. Despite their misleading nature, some creators have turned the trend into a profitable niche, offering low-cost video production services that rely heavily on automation and AI tools. However, the approach is risky, leading to potential demonetization and legal actions from featured celebrities. Past content creators have pivoted from other topics to focus exclusively on Diddy-related content, successfully attracting viewership with outrageous fake claims. YouTube has responded by terminating several channels found in violation of its policies, yet this AI-driven misinformation trend persists.
