Surprisingly, ChatGPT, despite its high usage in Brazil, fell out of the top 10 searched AIs. A Datafolha survey revealed that 93% of Brazilians utilize AI-integrated services, mostly unaware of it. However, many shy away from active generative tools—57% have never used text generators and 69% avoid image generation. Social media trends, such as AI filters and visual effects, dominate user interaction with AI, signifying a shift towards visual experiences rather than traditional text tasks. This reflects a broader trend where AI infrastructure is embedded in daily digital life, yet the conscious use of generative AI remains limited. Overall, while the popularity of AI tools like Gemini grows, a significant portion of the Brazilian population remains unfamiliar with their creative potential.
