Coursera, a leading online learning platform, has significantly expanded its Generative AI (GenAI) offerings, now featuring over 925 courses aimed at equipping global learners with vital AI skills. Celebrating AI Appreciation Day, the platform reports that GenAI enrollments in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) have exceeded 500,000, spotlighting the urgency for reskilling as 46% of job skills will undergo transformation by 2030. Despite strong demand, 80% of enrollments are for beginner-level courses, revealing a need for advanced skill development. Additionally, gender disparities exist, with women constituting only 25% of enrollments. To support an inclusive learning environment, Coursera has translated over 5,500 courses into 26 languages. Recent course additions include Professional Certificates from esteemed companies like AWS and Microsoft, designed to cater to various skill levels and industry needs. Coursera emphasizes its commitment to empowering learners in MENA, aiding them in adapting to the evolving workplace landscape.
