Nano Banana image editing comes to AI Mode and Google Lens

Google has integrated the popular Nano Banana from the Gemini app into its AI Mode and Google Lens. The updated Search interface now features a new ‘plus’ icon for easy access to image creation tools, including options to generate or edit images with a banana emoji prompt. Users can download and share generated images that include a Gemini spark watermark.

In Google Lens, the addition of a “Create” tab enhances functionalities, allowing users to capture images and apply AI-powered edits. The interface has been streamlined for better usability, emphasizing the front-facing camera for selfies. Currently, these advancements are available on Android for users in the U.S. with accounts opting into the AI Mode Search Lab.

Additionally, Google has expanded AI Mode support to 35 new languages and over 40 countries, totaling 200 supported regions. This expansion aims to enhance user experience and accessibility in global markets.
