We previously relied on cumbersome Google searches to find charming destinations, such as Rastoke near Plitvice Lakes, but AI provided instant, specific recommendations that elevated our trip experiences. For instance, ChatGPT suggested Brisighella near Ravenna, detailing parking options effortlessly—something standard searches failed to accomplish. While AI responses have been accurate so far, we still verify information through reliable sources. Moreover, AI’s ability to integrate weather forecasts for kitesurfing spots has proven invaluable, outshining Google search capabilities. Despite initial skepticism, these tools have become essential for planning, maximizing our enjoyment, and allowing more time for exploration. However, I wonder how sustainable this model is if travel content creation declines. AI clearly enhances travel planning, but its future hinges on human input.
