Developed by researchers at the University of Tartu and Better Medicine, this AI tool accelerates kidney cancer diagnosis by assisting radiologists in analyzing CT scans. Validated in a study published in Nature Communications Medicine, BMVision utilizes machine learning to distinguish between malignant and benign lesions, improving speed and accuracy. Trials at Tartu University Hospital revealed that AI assistance reduced detection and reporting time by approximately one third while maintaining high diagnostic accuracy. This innovative tool allows radiologists to concentrate on more complex cases, enhancing patient outcomes.
