The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has declared 2025 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to underscore the growing importance of AI in education. Both AICTE and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) stress the necessity for educators to become AI-capable in technology-driven classrooms. To support this initiative, a 100-hour AI Teacher Training Certification has been launched by professional learning network Agnirva. This program equips teachers to seamlessly integrate AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Canva AI into their teaching without requiring prior coding knowledge. It focuses on practical, applicable modules that enable educators to develop AI-powered lesson plans, streamline administrative tasks, and align academic learning with real-world AI applications. As students increasingly use AI, this training is crucial for teachers to enhance classroom engagement, assessment, and monitoring, ensuring they remain effective guides and inspire students in an AI-driven educational landscape.
