Luckin Coffee, a mobile coffee ordering app in Singapore, has enhanced user experience by integrating Alipay’s AI agent for seamless ordering and payment through a conversational interface. Users can now chat with the AI, select their drinks, and simply say “place order” to complete their purchase. This innovative feature eliminates the need for redirection to payment confirmation pages, allowing for a smooth, natural interaction similar to ordering from a barista. The integration is live in both Luckin Coffee’s mobile app and its Alipay mini-program in China. Leveraging Alipay’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, introduced in April 2025, this advancement enables secure transaction capabilities directly within AI-driven applications.
