Anthropic and CZI launch Knowledge Graph and Evaluators for classrooms

Anthropic has partnered with the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) to launch the Knowledge Graph, a groundbreaking educational tool designed to connect high-quality, research-backed content with classroom practices. Announced via LinkedIn by Anthropic’s Drew Bent and CZI’s Priscilla Chan, the Knowledge Graph interfaces with Claude, Anthropic’s AI, to assist educators in lesson planning and assessment design by mapping academic standards and learning progressions. This innovative tool facilitates standards alignment across all 50 U.S. states, allowing teachers to create tailored instructional materials. Alongside this, CZI introduced Evaluators to ensure the accuracy of AI outputs, particularly in literacy. Chan emphasized the importance of developing resources informed by educators’ experiences, rebranding their educational initiative to Learning Commons, which will expand access to quality materials. Both organizations stress the necessity of AI that reflects effective learning science, enhancing educational outcomes for students and teachers alike.
