ANZ Banking Group is set to pilot a generative AI upgrade, Economic Pulse Plus, for its Economic Pulse insights platform, enhancing engagement with economic data for institutional clients. This AI-driven version, supported by Gemini, provides intuitive responses to inquiries, including insight summaries and visualization charts related to Australian consumer spending. Speaking at the Google Cloud Summit, Sathish Kannan emphasized that the upgrade allows for a personalized data experience, addressing the limitations of the original, static platform. Economic Pulse Plus utilizes Google Cloud tools like BigQuery to facilitate scalable analytics. By adopting AI models such as Gemini Flash and Vertex AI, the application features a unique agentic architecture with four specialized agents to process queries efficiently. Set for pilot launch in September via the Transactive Global app, ANZ plans to expand this innovative offering across its services, alongside developing a multi-agent chatbot named amie, enhancing data accessibility for users.
