Apaleo, a Germany-based property management software provider, has launched the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, the first standardized interface enabling AI agents to interact with hotel data across multiple systems. Integrated into Apaleo’s open platform, this innovation simplifies AI deployment by eliminating the need for custom connections between various systems like property management and housekeeping. The MCP Server allows for automated updates, such as adjusting availability and notifying staff, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and reducing development costs. Co-founder Stephan Wiesener emphasizes its role in enabling AI agents to perform real tasks seamlessly across hotel systems. Early adopter citizenM has praised the MCP as a “great AI democratiser,” transforming hotel technology from coding to intent-based actions. Currently in alpha testing, the MCP Server aims to significantly accelerate AI-powered automation adoption in the hospitality industry, positioning Apaleo at the forefront of property management innovation.
