This marks Apple’s first explicit mention of AI providers in its App Store policies, reflecting its commitment to user privacy. Apps utilizing AI for data processing must comply or risk removal from the App Store. Although the term “AI” remains broad and enforcement details are unclear, these regulations aim to align with privacy laws like the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. Additionally, Apple introduced updates affecting its Mini Apps Program and placement of cryptocurrency exchanges, reinforcing its approach to regulated fields.
