Apple has withheld the launch of its refreshed HomePod mini and Apple TV set-top box, which have been developed for months and are currently low in retail inventory. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is delaying these releases to integrate new Siri and AI features, which have faced several setbacks since their announcement at WWDC 2024. Initially developed using Apple’s own AI, Apple shifted to partner with Google, utilizing the Gemini model instead. The updated Siri is now anticipated to debut with the iOS 26.5 update, possibly in May, with developer betas expected by late March or early April. The upgraded Apple TV may feature the A17 Pro chip, alongside support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. The HomePod mini could include the S9 chip, improved sound quality, and a new color variant. These enhancements aim to enrich the user experience as Apple expands its smart home ecosystem.
