ChatGPT outperformed Temu, which fell to seventh place, according to Apple’s annual App Store report. Google’s Gemini also made the top ten, featured at sixth place. The rankings were heavily populated by social media apps, including WhatsApp and TikTok.
In the paid apps category, Shadowrocket ranked first, showcasing diversity in user preferences. ChatGPT notably ranked fourth overall among all apps in the UAE, highlighting its rising engagement. Additionally, Arabic apps like Salatuk and Tarbaa gained recognition, proving the growing relevance of local content. On the iPad, ChatGPT also emerged as the most downloaded free app. Apple’s App Store significantly contributes to its revenue, boosting developers and fostering the region’s tech ecosystem amid the AI boom.
