Facing challenges in the AI landscape, Apple has delayed the next-gen Siri launch and received a lukewarm response to Apple Intelligence. Veritas enables rapid development and feedback on new Siri functionalities, such as personal data searches and in-app actions like photo editing. Resembling popular chatbots like ChatGPT and Gemini, employees can engage in conversations and revisit previous exchanges for deeper insights. However, Apple currently has no plans to release Veritas to the public, which Gurman criticizes. Instead, it appears Apple may rely on Google’s Gemini for its AI-driven search capabilities.
