While Apple acknowledged that X had resolved its violations, Grok was still deemed out of compliance, prompting Apple to warn that it risked removal from the App Store. After further communications, Grok was eventually approved, but concerns linger about its ability to generate explicit images with ease. Despite xAI’s assurances of improved safeguards, cybersecurity experts demonstrated that the tool still facilitates the creation of sexualized deepfakes, raising serious questions about user safety and content moderation effectiveness on these platforms.
