Aakhor AI Represents Assam at India AI Impact Summit 2026
Assam’s pioneering AI initiative, Aakhor AI, is showcasing its groundbreaking speech-to-text application for the Assamese language at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi from February 16 to 20. Developed by Borno Labs Private Limited, Aakhor AI is the world’s first dedicated solution for Assamese, aimed at preserving and promoting regional languages in the Northeast.
Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit features over 300 pavilions from leading AI organizations and global tech icons, including Bill Gates and Sundar Pichai. Aakhor AI aims to bridge the technology gap for Assamese speakers, catering to students and entrepreneurs through accessible AI tools that enhance creativity and productivity.
Creators Kabyanil and Indranil Talukdar hope Aakhor AI will inspire further innovation in Assamese, ensuring the language thrives in the digital age while contributing to the broader conversation on language inclusivity in AI.
