Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched two new tools: the AWS DevOps Agent and the AWS Security Agent, enhancing cloud application management and security. The AWS DevOps Agent serves as an intelligent operations assistant, proactively monitoring applications in real time, identifying discrepancies, and suggesting optimizations based on historical data. This tool, now supporting Microsoft Azure and on-premises systems, aims to prevent application outages and minimize incident response time.
On the security front, the AWS Security Agent offers continuous penetration testing across all applications, simulating cyberattacks to identify vulnerabilities. By automating this process, it significantly reduces the time needed for vulnerability remediation from weeks to hours, addressing business logic flaws that traditional tools often miss. Available in multiple regions and initially free, these agents aim to empower DevOps and security teams, ensuring reliable application performance and heightened cybersecurity measures in today’s digital landscape.
