Apple is reportedly developing an AI Pin, an innovative hardware device, as part of its expansion into AI technology. According to The Information, this AI Pin will feature a compact design similar to an AirTag, integrating multiple cameras—including a standard and a wide-angle lens—along with a speaker and three microphones. The device’s aluminum and glass construction is expected to support wireless charging, reminiscent of the Apple Watch. While it is still in the early development phase, plans indicate production of around 20 million units, with a potential release by 2027. However, details about its connections with other products or standalone sales remain unclear. Concurrently, Apple is revamping Siri into a robust AI chatbot to compete with Google and OpenAI. Former designer Jony Ive is collaborating with OpenAI on AI device designs, hinting at a broader AI ecosystem development that could redefine user experience.
