A recent Digitate report reveals that nearly 75% of North American enterprises anticipate utilizing semi- or fully-autonomous IT systems by 2030, a significant increase from 45% today. This shift signifies a pivotal moment in enterprise AI adoption, driven by the emergence of AI agents that enhance collaboration with human teams by anticipating needs. Avi Bhagtani, Digitate’s CMO, emphasizes that companies are shifting from automation experimentation to scaling AI for impactful change. In alignment, a Salesforce study found that CFOs are reallocating 25% of their AI budgets towards agents, expected to boost revenue and reduce costs, potentially generating $450 billion in economic value by 2028. However, trust in fully autonomous AI agents has declined, with only 27% of executives expressing confidence amid privacy concerns. Gartner predicts that over 40% of agentic AI projects may be canceled by 2027, highlighting the need for governance frameworks emphasizing trust and transparency for successful adoption.
