Pfizer has also joined the fray, providing personalized health guidance through its genAI product. Notably, these niche tools leverage patient health data, giving them an advantage over general-purpose AI platforms that require user input. Despite the appeal of these targeted solutions, the widespread use and convenience of platforms like ChatGPT—reported to be used by 52% of consumers for checking symptoms—make it challenging for specialized tools to attract a broader audience. As consumers get comfortable with general-purpose AI for health inquiries, niche tools may struggle to gain significant traction.
