Successfully introduced across multiple locations, it has already saved clinicians thousands of hours. The health system’s dedicated AI team developed HopeLLM to address complex cancer cases effectively, integrating it into their Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. HopeLLM not only enhances patient care but also supports research by analyzing data on social determinants of health and genomics. City of Hope emphasizes rigorous AI governance to ensure accuracy and quality. The tool has attracted interest from pharmaceutical companies, and City of Hope plans to explore partnerships for broader use.
