Anish Moonka has demonstrated how to leverage artificial intelligence to develop a fully functional iOS app within a week, all without writing code. Frustrated by the lack of suitable Bhagavad Gita reading apps, he utilized AI tools, specifically Anthropic’s Claude Code, to create the “10 Minute Gita” app, now available on the App Store. This app features 239 daily readings, original Sanskrit verses, bilingual support, and customizable settings to enhance user experience.
Moonka’s innovative approach allowed the AI to generate over 50 files using React Native and TypeScript, effectively managing navigation and storage while addressing bugs based on screenshots. Costing approximately $200, his project showcases how defining clear problems is more critical than coding skills, inspiring non-technical users to explore AI-driven development. The open-source code aims to encourage experimentation with AI-first workflows, with future updates planned for voice support and multilingual options.
