Previously restricted to Claude Team and Enterprise tiers, this feature now allows even free users to leverage the benefits of connecting Claude with tools like Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
The Microsoft 365 connector enhances productivity by enabling Claude to access recent emails, meeting transcripts, and documents without manual uploads. Users can perform various tasks, including searching documents in SharePoint and OneDrive, filtering emails in Outlook, checking calendar events, and accessing Teams chat messages. However, it offers read-only capabilities, meaning Claude cannot send emails, schedule meetings, or create documents at this time.
To set up the connector, users must authenticate with a Microsoft 365 account linked to a Microsoft Entra tenant. The setup process varies by subscription plan, ensuring seamless integration across all Claude users.
