Anthropic has enhanced Claude’s capabilities by integrating with third-party apps like Slack and Canva, allowing users to fetch files and perform tasks seamlessly. Claude can now search for files in Box, preview documents, and answer content-related questions. Additionally, its integration with Asana enables users to transform chat discussions into actionable projects and tasks. Currently, nine launch partners are involved, with prominent names such as Figma and Slack joining Box and Asana. These integrations utilize Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), a technology introduced in fall 2024 to streamline connections between Claude and external platforms. MCP has gained traction as an industry standard since OpenAI’s adoption last year and Anthropic’s contribution to the Linux Foundation. This advancement empowers various AI platforms to implement similar functionalities, enhancing the overall user experience across applications.
