The recent CNCF and SlashData report reveals significant insights into AI tools within cloud-native environments. Leading tools such as NVIDIA Triton, Metaflow, Airflow, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) have garnered developer trust and adoption. For AI inference, Triton, DeepSpeed, TensorFlow Serving, and BentoML topped the list, with Triton receiving high scores in both maturity and usefulness. In ML orchestration, Metaflow and Airflow excelled, with Metaflow noted for its maturity and Airflow for its utility. Among agentic AI platforms, MCP and Llama Stack achieved adoption status, with MCP recognized for its robust usefulness ratings. The report emphasizes that organizations must adopt cloud-native principles to enhance productivity in AI systems. It highlights the evolution of AI/ML tooling and the rise of cloud-native architectures, with 41% of AI/ML developers identifying as cloud-native. These findings will be discussed at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2025, underscoring the need for effective AI/ML strategies.
