This acquisition follows the recent hiring of Windsurf’s CEO Varun Mohan by Google in a $2.4 billion reverse acquihire. Despite earlier acquisition talks with OpenAI, Cognition has stepped in, showcasing its commitment to innovation in the AI space. Windsurf boasts $82 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and a robust customer base of 350 enterprise clients.
